Sebago TU 5 in 5 program & FFIM Grassroots Grants Fund

Come out June 25-26, 2010 and join anglers from throughout Maine and New England at the 8th annual FFIM "Conclave" in Rangeley region of the Western Mountains of Maine. Rangeley is an area rich in Fly Fishing history, home to fabled waters such as the Rangeley Lakes chain, and the Kennebago, Magalloway and Rapid Rivers. So come along and join us. The "event" is open to the public and will combine the opportunity to learn how to fly fish for those newcomers, meet some wonderful people, and have a lot of fun!

Saturday's events will be held at the Rangeley Region Guides and Sportsman's Association Clubhouse in Oquossoc

This year, we are planning many activities.

  • Book reading by Bob Romano, author of "North of Easie"
  • Orvis rod and reel demos with Mike Holt of Fly Fishing Only
  • L.L.Bean rod and gear demos with L.L.Bean Product Development and Testing
  • Fly Casting instruction with Ian Grierson of Saddleback Mountain Guide Service
  • Please check back often for events to be scheduled

If you want to learn to fly fish or tie flies, try out some new equipment, meet other like-minded fisher-folks, or just hang out and fish, come on down and bring a friend or two. This is the event of the year not to be missed.
